My client are looking for a CI & Quality Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving continuous improvement, maintaining quality standards, and supporting operational excellence across the business.

Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments, you'll identify opportunities for improvement, investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and help develop a strong culture of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Investigate non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Conduct internal audits and support customer and supplier quality activities.
  • Monitor quality performance, analyse data, and report on key metrics.
  • Review drawings, specifications and processes to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Support inspection activities and ensure customer requirements are met before dispatch.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to improve processes and business performance.
About YouEssential
  • Experience working within a quality and continuous improvement role in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience of root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies (such as 5 Why and 8D).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Desirable
  • Internal Auditor qualification or auditing experience.
  • Experience within hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical or manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement tools.
  • Experience working with Ministry of Defence or other regulated industries.
