Fabrication & Welding Supervisor This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the fabrication, welding, and finishing team. Reporting to the Production Manager, the role ensures components are manufactured accurately and efficiently according to engineering drawings and work instructions, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities * Lead by example in performing fabrication, welding, and finishing tasks using a variety of techniques and tools. * Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions to produce high-quality components to specification. * Utilize a wide range of fabrication and welding skills, including cutting, forming, and assembly operations. * Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring best practices are followed throughout the section. * Oversee the use, condition, and storage of tools and equipment to support efficient operations. * Identify and address day-to-day production issues, escalating where appropriate. Skills & Experience Extensive experience in fabrication and welding, including: * Marking out, cutting, squaring, and bending * Use of guillotines, rolls, brake presses, and hand tools * MIG, TIG, and MMA welding to insurance standards (e.g., BS5500 / BS EN 286), with demonstrated in-house testing competence * Manual cutting using plasma and flame methods * Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is highly desirable. 39hrs/week Monday to Thursday 07:00 β 16:00, Friday 07:00 β 12:00 Overtime when available time and a half Working supervisor, split is probably 20% Supervision / 80% hands on Fabrication/Welding Salary: DOE
