Our client is a successful, established engineering company based in West Sussex, specialising in the design and manufacture of safety and communication systems. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Electronic Support Engineer to join their team.
The Electronic Support Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support both internally and to external customers. This is a varied, hands-on role providing expert electronic technical support across the full product range.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support to customers via telephone, email, and other channels
- Diagnosing and resolving electronic hardware and system issues
- Preparing and delivering technical training to customers and end users
- Testing and configuring products prior to dispatch
- Assisting the sales team with technical queries and customer support
- Occasional site visits to support customers when required
- Where time allows, supporting the small-batch production team with testing, configuration, and light assembly work
Candidate Requirements
- Strong electronics engineering background (HNC level or above is highly desirable)
- Solid hands-on experience with electronic systems, fault finding, and diagnostics
- Good working knowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
