My client has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and versatile Electronics Engineer with a minimum of 3 yearsβ experience to join a small, multidisciplinary team specialising in the design and development used in a number of applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronic circuits and systems, including analogue, digital, and mixed-signal circuits. Conduct simulations and analyses using software tools to validate functionality and performance before manufacturing.
- Create PCB layouts and design multilayer boards using industry-standard software.
- Develop wiring diagrams and layouts for electronic instrumentation and generate BOMs.
- Experience with STM32-based microcontrollers, embedded C/C++ (IAR IDE), and Python.
- Strong understanding of transducers and sensor applications in instrumentation.
- Expertise in ADC and DAC components for low-noise, high-precision applications.
- Interface analogue circuits with microprocessors, bus-controlled devices, and communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, USB, Bluetooth, and TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of EMC best practices for regulatory compliance, including adherence to CE standards, EMC Directive, and Low Voltage Directive.
- Proficient in fault finding and diagnostics.
- Assemble electronic prototypes, conduct functional testing, and verify performance against design specifications. Identify and resolve issues, suggesting design improvements as needed.
- Develop test plans and procedures for electronic systems. Conduct electrical, functional, environmental, and reliability tests to ensure compliance with specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Produce technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, test reports, and production guidelines. Maintain accurate records of design changes, test results, and project progress. Experience with PLM/PDM systems.
- Ensure electronic systems meet quality standards, safety regulations, and relevant certifications. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

- Hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree in electronics or an equivalent field
- A minimum of 3 years in an electronic design or development position
- Proficient in PCB layout and design
- Strong knowledge of microcontrollers
- Been involved in the full product life cycle
- Experience with embedded C/C++
- EMC knowledge
Salary
The salary offered for this position is Β£35,000- Β£57,000 to a candidate who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
