My client are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business in Plymouth, supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of their production equipment.

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on extrusion lines and associated machinery.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults to minimise downtime.
  • Support equipment installations, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain maintenance records and manage spare parts inventory.

Requirements:

  • Engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3/HNC equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance Engineering.
  • Experience in a manufacturing maintenance role, ideally within plastics, extrusion, process, or similar industries.
  • Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and maintenance management systems (CMMS) is advantageous.
