My client is seeking an Assembly Technician to join their growing manufacturing team. This is a hands-on position working within a production environment, assembling a range of specialist products to quality standards and production schedules. The successful candidate will become part of a small, supportive team and will have the opportunity to develop their skills within a stable and expanding business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble products and sub-assemblies in line with production requirements and work instructions
- Work from engineering drawings, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Ensure products are manufactured to the required quality standards and timescales
- Identify and report any issues with materials, components, or production processes
- Carry out basic wiring, mechanical assembly, and fitting activities
- Use a variety of hand tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively
- Complete production records and documentation accurately
- Support continuous improvement activities and maintain a clean, organised work area
- Follow company procedures relating to quality, safety, and production
The Candidate
- Practical assembly or manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or technical documentation
- Experience using hand tools and workshop equipment
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Comfortable working to quality standards and production targets
- Basic electrical or wiring experience would be beneficial
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Competent IT skills
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training when required
Salary £25,000- £30,000 depending on skills and experience
