Mechanical Design Engineer Crawley Our client is a well-established manufacturer of high-quality, precision-engineered products. Due to continued growth and increasing demand, they are expanding their design team. You will work closely with the engineering team to develop new products and improve existing ones. This is a varied and technically interesting position with full ownership of the design process. You will handle a good mix of fast-paced, quick-turnaround bespoke projects and longer-term standard product development. 3D CAD modelling and 2D technical drawing creation ~ Design of mechanical assemblies with moving parts and mechanisms ~ Applying Design for Manufacture (DFM), DFA, GD&T, and tolerance analysis ~ BOM creation and configuration management ~ First article inspection and quality review ~ Minimum 5 years’ 3D CAD experience (Inventor or SolidWorks preferred) Proven ability to design mechanical assemblies with moving parts/mechanisms
