CNC Milling – Setter, Operator, Programmer

Walsall – Up to £51,000 per annum

Nightshift: Monday–Thursday, 20:45–07:00 (39 hours/week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Miller to join a precision engineering team in Walsall. The successful candidate will be responsible for the programming, setting, and operating of CNC milling machines, producing high-quality components to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines in line with engineering drawings.
  • Read and interpret cutting patterns to maximise material use and minimise waste.
  • Maintain quality and accuracy across all components, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Handle products safely and efficiently to prevent damage or health and safety risks.
  • Keep all stock control systems and documentation accurate and up to date.
  • Support training and upskilling of other team members when required.

Experience & Skills

  • Proven background in precision machining and CNC milling.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Proficient in programming and machine setup (Heidenhain knowledge desirable).
  • Strong understanding of machining various metal materials.
  • PC literate and able to maintain accurate records.
  • A current counterbalance licence and machine maintenance experience would be advantageous.
