The Role
CNC Programming using Alphacam to develop and optimise CNC Lathe programs based on engineering drawings, CAD models, and other technical specifications.
Proving out programs and 1st of inspection. Managing the CNC program data base with Cimco and approving or rejecting CNC programs returned from the machines and maintaining accurate records of setup sheets and tooling information.
Set up CNC Lathes machines, including loading materials, fixtures, and tools, and calibrating machine settings to achieve precise results and monitor consumable levels and advise when stocks are low.
Safely and efficiently operate CNC Lathe machines to manufacture small batch and prototype components, adhering to production schedules and quality requirements.
Quality Control using inspection equipment, perform 1st off and in-process inspections to verify part conformity to engineering drawings and close tolerances, making necessary adjustments when required.
The Candidate
Experience in programming, setting, and operating fanuc based CNC Lathe machines.
Experience of programming with a CAD CAM software package.
Good communication skills with management and team members.
Final or in-line inspection experience.
Able to interpret engineering drawings.
Able to use a wide variety of measuring and inspection equipment.
