Our client is a well-established manufacturing business seeking a Quality Inspector to support quality assurance, stock control, and production activities, ensuring high standards across incoming and outgoing goods.
The Role
Reporting into the Quality team, the Quality Inspector will carry out inspections and testing in line with procedures and technical drawings, while supporting goods-in, goods-out, and stock control operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Goods Inwards
- Receive and inspect incoming goods, including returns.
- Carry out inspection and testing in line with approved procedures.
- Maintain calibration records for inspection equipment.
- Complete ERP (JDE) stock transactions.
- Record non-conformances in the Incident Log.
- Stock Control
- Manage stock storage, traceability, and batch control.
- Issue parts to production (work order picking and shopfloor delivery).
- Carry out stock checks and 5S+1 audits.
- Maintain safe, tidy working areas in line with EHS requirements.
- Quality Support
- Assist with Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
- Support quality investigations and containment actions.
- Collect inspection data and operator feedback where required.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in quality inspection.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Experience with verniers, micrometers etc.
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- PC literate (MS Office / ERP systems).
