As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating leads and building a sustainable sales pipeline. Your ability to convert opportunities into tangible business outcomes will be essential for driving growth and establishing long-term client relationships.

Own the new business development process, aiming to build and manage a pipeline of approximately £20M.

  • Maintain up-to-date records in CRM and associated management tools.
  • Analyse market trends and customer intelligence; create detailed project mandates and compelling business proposals.
  • Solid understanding of the contract manufacturing environment, including electro-mechanical assembly, quality requirements, lead-times, and component sourcing.
  • Strong commercial acumen with awareness of revenue streams, gross margins, start-up costs, and development contract implications.

This is a hybrid role with frequent travel required across the UK and occasional travel abroad. While home-based, regular presence at the company’s manufacturing site is expected when not attending customer or prospect meetings. A valid UK driving licence and up-to-date passport are essential.

Car: £600/month car budget + fuel or £500/month car allowance + mileage reimbursement

Bonus: Discretionary bonus based on company performance - 10%

Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays (includes Christmas shutdown)

Pension: Private Medical - Post Probation

Life Cover: 3x annual salary
