Are you a skilled Field Service Engineer looking for your next challenge? This role offers the opportunity to work across the UK and internationally, with some travel and time away from home required. All travel is pre-arranged and fully expensed. As your experience grows, you may also be involved in commissioning newly installed systems, which can occasionally require extended stays on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and maintain a variety of water treatment equipment including Reverse Osmosis systems, Deionisers, Filtration Units, Water Softeners, and Effluent Treatment Plants at customer sites both in the UK and overseas.
- Develop and manage relationships with customers and on-site personnel.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in the field and through remote support.
- Undertake installation and commissioning work depending on your skills and qualifications.
- Produce detailed service reports and other documentation using Microsoft Word.
- Provide support that aligns with both commercial and technical specifications.
- Contribute to internal service improvement efforts to drive efficiency and quality.
- Maintain a high standard of customer care and technical service.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, including health and safety regulations.
- Proactively pursue opportunities for learning and skill development.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified electro-mechanical engineer with a multi-disciplinary background.
- Previous experience in water treatment or a similar technical field is advantageous.
- Field service or remote technical support experience is beneficial.
- Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
- Professional, self-motivated, and well-organised.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications.
- Holds GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
Location: This is a home-based role with travel as required. A vehicle and fuel card are included as part of the package.
