An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Junior Workshop Technician to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment. This role would suit a hands-on individual looking to develop a long-term career within mechanical engineering, assembly, or maintenance. The successful candidate will support the assembly, repair, servicing, and testing of mechanical equipment while learning workshop procedures, quality standards, and engineering best practices. Full training and support will be provided for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the assembly, servicing, repair, and testing of mechanical products and equipment
- Follow technical instructions, engineering drawings, and workshop procedures
- Support senior technicians and engineers with day-to-day workshop activities
- Use hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely and correctly
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
- Help ensure products are built to required quality standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Assist with inspection and fault-finding activities where required
- Support stock movement, parts organisation, and general workshop duties
- Follow company health & safety procedures at all times
- Assist with continuous improvement and general workshop efficiency initiatives

- Interest in mechanical engineering
- Engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or college-based engineering training advantageous
