An established engineering business is seeking a Technical Sales Estimator to support its customer and production teams. The company operates within the manufacturing sector, providing machining and component solutions to a range of industries.
This position combines estimating, customer interaction, and technical review. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing customer requirements, preparing quotations, and supporting the progression of work from enquiry through to order.
Key Responsibilities- Managing incoming enquiries and maintaining customer communication
- Reviewing technical drawings and specifications
- Liaising with production teams to assess feasibility and requirements
- Preparing cost estimates and quotations
- Following up on quotations and supporting order conversion
- Assisting in the development of internal processes and systems
- Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Good attention to detail and commercial awareness
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Knowledge of machining and manufacturing
- Previous estimating or technical sales experience
- Interest in process or system improvement
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm (30-minute lunch break)
- Friday: 7:30am – 2:30pm
- 23 days annual leave plus public holidays
- Additional day off for birthday (subject to policy)
