As an Account Manager, you’ll join a collaborative commercial team supporting the factory. You’ll manage day-to-day communications and commercial relationships with a portfolio of key customers - ensuring exceptional service, efficient order management, and ongoing business growth.
This is a customer-facing, factory-based role where you’ll take ownership of accounts, oversee production scheduling, coordinate with internal teams, and drive customer satisfaction and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the main point of contact for allocated customers, ensuring their needs are met.
- Manage orders from placement through to delivery, liaising closely with production, engineering, and quality teams.
- Handle purchase orders and support material planning with buyers.
- Prepare and attend Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Monitor commercial performance and present KPIs to the senior team.
- Support negotiations for new business and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain strong, proactive relationships with customers, promoting growth and efficiency.
- Proven experience managing customer accounts within a manufacturing environment (electronics preferred).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially astute, with understanding of revenue and margin impact.
- Confident using MRP systems and handling complex data with accuracy.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (mostly UK-based).
- Up to £37,000
- 37-hour working week (Mon–Thurs 08:00–16:30, Fri 08:00–13:30)
- 22 days holiday + Bank Holidays + up to 3 additional long-service days
