My client is currently seeking a Workshop Technician to join a busy workshop environment. This role would suit someone with hands-on workshop experience who is confident working with laser machinery and general fabrication equipment, and who can work accurately from technical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate laser cutting machinery in line with production requirements
- Read and work from engineering drawings and cutting lists
- Carry out basic machine checks and routine maintenance
- Ensure components are produced to quality and tolerance requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Support other workshop activities as required
Requirements
- General workshop machinery experience is essential
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machinery would be highly beneficial
- Hold an engineering qualification
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Understanding of workshop health & safety procedures
- Forklift licence would be highly advantageous
£25,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
