My client is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering team. You will support operational teams in daily routines, monitor plant performance, and coordinate with external contractors or suppliers when required.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Manage inventories of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies.
- Plan and communicate maintenance activities with operational teams.
- Ensure all relevant risk assessments and safety checks are completed before commencing work.
- Supervise and coordinate contractors, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Conduct electrical appliance testing and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in projects to improve and develop maintenance processes and facilities.
- May be required to undertake occasional out-of-hours work for emergency callouts or planned maintenance.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, including fault-finding and repair of machinery, pumps, compressors, fans, and rotating equipment.
Electrical testing experience.
Awareness of safe systems of work, permit-to-work procedures, and risk assessments.
Ability to operate relevant equipment such as lifts, scaffolding, or forklifts (certifications desirable).
Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
