The Company

A well-established and leading UK-based electronics manufacturer is seeking a skilled Senior Test Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring quality and performance across a wide range of products.

The Role

The Senior Test Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and improving the testing function, ensuring on-time delivery, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair products in accordance with internal and customer specifications
  • Develop and implement test procedures using Flying Probe, JTAG, and manual/automated functional testing methods
  • Drive quality initiatives to ensure products meet “right first time” standards and delivery timelines
  • Define and maintain clear test and inspection strategies, including coverage and acceptance criteria
  • Provide coaching and training to staff in all areas of test procedures and equipment
  • Establish and maintain training protocols and quality benchmarks for all test operators
  • Ensure timely completion of programming and test development to support production schedules
  • Offer technical support for all test operations, maintaining alignment with production and quality goals

The Candidate

  • Qualified in Electronics, Engineering, or a relevant discipline
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing test environment
  • Strong knowledge of both digital and analogue electronics; capable of fault-finding to component level
  • Familiarity with test methodologies and equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience working with ERP systems and production databases
  • Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced setting

The Package

Salary: £35,000 – £60,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
