My client is currently seeking a Machine Shop Technician to join a busy production and workshop environment. This role would suit an experienced, hands-on machinist with strong mechanical and fabrication skills, capable of manufacturing, modifying, and repairing components to tight tolerances. The position supports production output by maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and efficiency while contributing to continuous improvement across workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture, modify, and repair engines, components, jigs, and parts in line with technical drawings and instructions.
- Produce work to agreed specifications, tolerances, and deadlines.
- Follow build standards, drawings, and special instructions when producing components and assemblies.
- Ensure measuring and calibrated equipment is in date, suitable for use, and report any issues requiring recalibration.
- Accurately complete documentation and notify relevant teams of drawing or instruction updates.
- Record working hours and job times accurately using time and attendance systems.
- Maintain safe working practices in line with health and safety regulations.
