My client is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Programmer / Setter / Operator to join their precision engineering team. The role involves programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components in line with detailed engineering drawings and customer specifications. You will play a key role in ensuring parts are manufactured accurately, efficiently, and to the required standards, while contributing to overall production performance.
- Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components
- Selecting appropriate tooling, cutting strategies and machining methods to optimise efficiency
- Ensuring all components meet required quality standards and tolerances
- Working to production schedules and deadlines to meet business and customer requirements
- Carrying out basic inspection and quality checks
- Identifying and resolving machining issues to maintain productivity
- Supporting continuous improvement within the machine shop
Completed an engineering apprenticeship or gained equivalent hands-on machining experience. Strong experience with CNC milling machines. Experience working with CAD/CAM software would be beneficial. Exposure to multi-axis machining centres is advantageous. Experience using manual machines. Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
£30,000 - £42,000 plus overtime depending on skills and experience.
