We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Post Sales Engineer to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferably with experience in a manufacturing environment. As a Post Sales Engineer, you will provide both technical and administrative support across all aftercare activities, including regular communication with global customers, handling inquiries, and preparing detailed proposals. You will join a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional customer support and service while contributing to key revenue and margin goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional, timely responses to customer inquiries.
- Offer commercial and technical assistance, including spare parts identification, provision of drawings, parts lists, and general technical support.
- Proactively identify and secure additional business opportunities, including enquiries and orders.
- Prepare proposals and negotiate commercial terms to gain business through repairs, refurbishments, upgrades, and modpacks for existing machines.
- Ensure all relevant information is accurately recorded in ERP and CRM systems to maintain smooth process flow.
- Manage projects, including resource allocation, to achieve successful completion.
- Work on proactive initiatives to increase opportunities for spare parts, reconditioning, upgrades, and contract sales.
- Provide costing support within the procurement framework, including sourcing components to maximise margins.
- Work in accordance with company procedures, guidelines, and terms of reference.
- Carry out additional tasks within the competence of the role as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Experienced working in a technical aftercare and post support environment.
- Mechanical or electrical engineering background.
- Good understanding of technical drawings.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
- Desirable: Import/export or international experience.
- CAD experience.
- Experience in manufacturing.
- Additional language skills (e.g., French or Spanish).
Package
Salary for this role is competitive and will be discussed during the call. This position is advertised as an Employment Agency role for permanent positions and an Employment Business role for contract/temporary positions.
