This position offers an excellent opportunity to expand your technical expertise and develop new skills. As a skilled engineer with customer-facing experience, you will have a passion for supporting clients and guiding projects from proof of concept to final delivery. You may have experience in roles such as Application Engineer, Sales Engineer, Product Engineer, or Support Engineer, with knowledge in areas like mobile mapping solutions, 3D points clouds, LiDAR, perception software, Linux, and networking.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provided pre-sales and after-sales support, addressed technical queries and resolved issues, including handling hardware returns.
- Supporting various products, including LiDAR, perception software, inertial navigation, and georeferencing solutions, with potential for expansion into additional technologies.
- Manage proof-of-concept projects and ensure successful implementation.
- Maintaining and updating a support ticketing system.
- Assisting with marketing efforts by setting up demonstrations and collecting sample data.
- Attending occasional exhibitions, customer meetings, and supplier training across the UK.
- Standard office hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Prior experience in technical customer support. Strong knowledge of Linux and networking. Familiarity with LiDAR sensors and 3D point clouds. Experience with MQTT protocols. Understanding of inertial navigation and georeferencing technologies. Exposure to robotics applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective customer interactions. Competent IT skills, with experience using CRM or ticketing systems being advantageous. Self-motivated and proactive in supporting customers and company initiatives. Ability to work well within a small team while engaging with large organisations.
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications). 25 days holiday + bank holidays + Christmas shutdown. Bonus scheme. Healthcare benefits. Company phone and laptop.
