About the Role
As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for leading the kitchen, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, nutritious, and appetising meals for residents every day. This role is about more than just food – it is about enhancing residents’ quality of life through enjoyable dining experiences. You will create menus tailored to individual needs, including dietary, cultural, and medical requirements, while maintaining high standards of food safety and kitchen management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the kitchen with professionalism, positivity, and care
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, person-centred meals
- Develop and adapt menus to meet dietary and nutritional needs
- Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen budgets effectively
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, safety, and compliance standards
- Ensure all meals are prepared and served to a consistently high standard
- Build positive relationships with residents, understanding their preferences
- Work collaboratively with care teams to support residents’ wellbeing
- Ensure the kitchen environment is clean, safe, and well-organised
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- An experienced Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
- Passionate about food, nutrition, and delivering high standards
- Warm, approachable, and committed to enhancing residents' daily lives
- Experienced in catering for large groups or within a care setting (desirable)
- Knowledgeable in allergens, special diets, and nutritional requirements
- A confident leader with strong organisational and communication skills
- Committed to maintaining compliance with food safety regulations
- Willing to continue learning and developing within the role
