Full job description Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and supervising kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and recipe creation
– Oversee food production processes to maintain high-quality standards
– Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines
– Assist in training kitchen staff on culinary techniques and safety procedures
– Supervise kitchen operations during the Head Chef\’s absence
– Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
– Help create a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and collaboration
Qualifications:
– Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably in a restaurant setting
– Strong knowledge of food production, safety, and sanitation practices
– Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating exceptional dishes
– Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
– Experience in supervising kitchen staff and leading by example
– Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field is a plus
– Outstanding communication and organizational skills
