This is an exciting opportunity for a creative Head Chef or experienced Senior Sous Chef who wants genuine autonomy, great fresh ingredients and the opportunity to lead a strong kitchen team.
THE ROLE
This is a busy, popular food-led pub with rooms, known for its fresh, hearty and imaginative food rather than fine dining.

As Head Chef, you'll have real ownership of your kitchen, including:
Creating and developing seasonal menus
Working with fresh ingredients and local suppliers
Leading, motivating and developing your kitchen team
Maintaining consistently high standards of food quality
Managing kitchen costs and ensuring profitability
Introducing new ideas while keeping the menu exciting and commercially successful
Working closely with the wider team to deliver an excellent customer experience
The menu combines well-loved classics with more imaginative dishes influenced by cuisines from around the world , giving the Head Chef plenty of scope to put their own stamp on the kitchen.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We're looking for a talented and experienced chef with 5+ years' experience , ideally from a busy gastro pub, fresh-food pub, restaurant or similar environment.
You'll need to be:
Passionate about fresh, quality ingredients
Creative and confident developing menus
A strong kitchen leader
Experienced in managing food costs and kitchen profitability
Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume environment
Passionate about developing and supporting your team
Someone who takes pride in producing consistently excellent food
This would suit an existing Head Chef or an ambitious Senior Sous Chef ready to take full ownership of their own kitchen.

You'll have genuine autonomy over your kitchen, your menus and your team, while still having the backing and support of an established hospitality group.
