MCG Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to join a welcoming care home team. If you're tired of late nights, split shifts, and unpredictable hospitality hours, this could be the perfect opportunity. Enjoy family-friendly working hours (7:00am - 5:30pm), working just 4 days per week, with alternate weekends off. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals in a stable environment where you'll have real autonomy over menus and kitchen operations. Best of all, there's no split shifts, no late finishes, and no being sent home early because business is quiet.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and developing the kitchen team.
  • Creating nutritious, resident-focused menus.
  • Managing stock, budgets, and food safety compliance.
  • Ensuring excellent food quality and presentation.
  • Working closely with residents and management to meet dietary requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous Head Chef or senior kitchen leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP, and special dietary requirements.
  • Experience managing food costs and kitchen budgets.
