MCG Recruitment are delighted to be working with our client, a brand-new 4-star hotel, seeking a talented Head Chef to lead their kitchen team and define the culinary experience from day one.

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Kitchen Brigade consistently delivers outstanding food and service, keeping the guest at the heart of everything. You will lead the team in achieving departmental goals, planning and organising work activities, and continuously improving ways of working while engaging the team to do the same.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and innovate menus from launch, developing your own distinctive culinary style while inspiring both your team and guests. You will also maintain a safe, healthy, and secure kitchen environment, adhering to all protocols and leading training initiatives. Building strong relationships and creating a positive, learning-focused culture will be central to the success of the kitchen.

Confident decision-making, menu development, and a solid understanding of business financials including labour costs, forecasting, and budgets are essential. Above all, we want someone who is passionate, inspired, and excited to be part of a brand-new culinary venture.

  • Proven experience in a luxury or 4-star multi-outlet hotel
  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing kitchen teams
