RESTAURANT MANAGER
Are you an experienced restaurant manager with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences? Our client is seeking a dynamic and driven leader to take full charge of their popular restaurant and lead it to new heights. You'll work closely with the owners of the business, making a direct impact on the future of the restaurant. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Restaurant Manager, you will:
  • Lead Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Restaurant, ensuring everything runs smoothly from opening to closing.
  • Drive Sales & Profitability: Set and achieve sales targets, manage budgets, and improve overall profitability through strategic initiatives.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and growth.
  • Collaborate with Ownership: Work directly with the business owners to develop and implement strategies that align with the overall vision of the restaurant and garden centre.
  • Hands-On Leadership: Lead by example, getting involved in daily operations, assisting the team during busy periods, and ensuring the highest standards of service are consistently delivered.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure every guest has an exceptional dining experience. Handle customer feedback and complaints with professionalism and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Inventory & Supplier Management: Oversee stock control, order supplies, and negotiate with suppliers to maintain quality and cost-efficiency.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are met.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management and the owners on long-term strategies, menu development, and promotional activities to boost customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present weekly performance reports to the owners, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven Leadership: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing a high-volume restaurant, café, or similar food service operation.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit optimisation.
  • Operational Excellence: Expertise in managing staff rotas, stock control, and inventory management.
  • Customer-Centric: A passion for delivering outstanding service and an eye for detail.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire both your team and customers.
  • Problem Solver: A proactive and creative approach to overcoming challenges and driving continuous improvement.
  • Hands-On Approach: Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in every aspect of the restaurant's operations.
