MCG Recruitment is proud to be partnering with an exciting, fast-growing hospitality brand as they launch a brand-new site—and we’re looking for a confident, experienced Senior Sous Chef ready to play a pivotal role in driving standards, supporting leadership, and shaping a high-performing kitchen from day one.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives under pressure and knows how to bring consistency, calm, and control to a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
- Deputise for the Head Chef: Run the kitchen confidently in their absence, maintaining full control of service and standards.
- Lead the Kitchen Team: Support, mentor, and motivate chefs across all sections.
- Drive Food Quality: Ensure every dish is delivered consistently and meets brand expectations.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee prep, service flow, and kitchen organisation during busy periods.
- Health & Safety Leadership: Maintain strict compliance with hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
- Stock & Cost Control: Monitor stock usage, reduce waste, and support ordering processes.
- Training & Development: Coach junior team members and help build a strong kitchen culture.
- Problem Solving Under Pressure: React quickly and effectively to challenges during service.

- Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up.
