You’ll be joining a small, supportive care home where nights are about comfort, dignity, and vigilance, not chaos. Our residents are at the heart of everything we do — this is their home, and we are guests in it.
The Role
- Shifts: Nights
- Hours: Rota-based
- Requirement: Valid NMC registration
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the night shift calmly and confidently
- Providing person-centred care with warmth and reassurance
- Monitoring residents’ wellbeing throughout the night
- Administering medication and maintaining accurate records
- Responding effectively to any changes or concerns
- Supporting residents who may feel anxious, unsettled, or confused at night
What We’re Looking For
- Calm, warm, and reassuring — especially when it’s quiet
- Confident working independently overnight
- A strong communicator with a caring, gentle approach
- Genuinely interested in supporting older people
You’ll also have:
- Valid NMC registration
- Experience in elderly care (dementia/end-of-life desirable)
- Confidence leading a night shift
- Good IT skills (electronic care planning experience is a bonus)
- A commitment to learning and high-quality care
