As a Senior Bar Staff member, you will be responsible for creating an inviting atmosphere, serving beverages, and ensuring that all patrons have a memorable experience. Your expertise in food safety and preparation, along with your ability to upsell menu items, will contribute significantly to our establishment's success.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a full knowledge of all products and services to ensure consistency in service and standards.
- Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, upholding the brand, customer service and operating standards and values.
- Maintain, enforce and comply with any and all premises licence conditions in relation to the operation of the business.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation at the bar area.
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, coffees, wines, and soft drinks.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
- Engage with guests to provide exceptional service and enhance their experience.
- Upsell food and drink items to maximise sales opportunities.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure efficient service.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior bar staff as needed.
- Coordinate what is required for all bookings/events and delegate tasks in order to deliver the perfect event for our customers.
- Oversee running events with numbers varying from 10 - 300.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation between the bar and restaurant areas.
- Working with the manager, manage and develop effectively the employees working under his/her control to maximise efficiency, personal development and performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a bar or hospitality environment, preferably in a senior role with a minimum of 3 years experience.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
