I am looking for a Vehicle Technician, to carry out high quality servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repair activities, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and in line with manufacturer standards. You will play a key part in maintaining workshop productivity, delivering right first-time fixes and contributing to an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine servicing, repairs and inspection procedures in line with manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform vehicle health checks and identify additional work required, ensuring all repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Conduct diagnostic work using appropriate tools and systems to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
- Support repairs across a range of vehicles, including alternative fuel, hybrid and electric models.
- Undertake MOT testing in line with DVSA standards where qualified (training can be provided).
- City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
- Experience within a main dealer or similar professional workshop environment.
- Proven experience in routine servicing, repairs and vehicle inspections.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability across mechanical and electrical systems.
- MOT Tester qualification (or willingness to obtain post-appointment).
- Experience working with alternative fuel, hybrid or electric vehicles.
- Ability to complete accurate and detailed warranty documentation and write ups.
