Are you a hands‑on machinist who takes pride in precision, accuracy, and high‑quality workmanship? We’re looking for a skilled or developing EDM Setter / Operator to join a multidisciplinary engineering team working with advanced EDM technology and precision finishing processes.
What you’ll be doing:
- Setting and operating EDM machines (including specialist systems such as Sarix & Agie-style equipment)
- Producing and inspecting high-precision components to tight tolerances
- Carrying out first‑off inspection and batch quality control
- Performing hand deburring, lapping, and fine finishing work
- Supporting occasional milling / turning and bench‑based operations
- Maintaining high standards of 5S, housekeeping, and first‑line maintenance
What we’re looking for:
- Experience operating EDM or precision machining equipment
- Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret tight tolerances
- Skilled use of measuring equipment (micrometers, gauges, comparators, etc.)
- Confident with hand finishing techniques (deburring & lapping)
- A detail‑focused mindset with a strong commitment to quality
- Open to development within a precision engineering environment
