About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Head of Construction to oversee the planning, scheduling, building, and installation of high-value projects across the South. Reporting to the Regional Head of Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in delivering top-quality construction projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular quality inspections, audits, and remedial actions.
- Oversee all administrative tasks such as work orders, permits, build packs, and traffic management.
- Manage the regional construction budget and project-specific expenditure.
- Ensure compliance with Construction Design Management (CDM 2015) regulations, Health and Safety policies, and Traffic Management requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Proactively identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
About You
- Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and Traffic Management requirements.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Membership in a relevant professional institution (e.g., CIOB, APM) is desirable.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
