Are you a passionate and driven Mechatronic Engineer ready to take your career to the next level? Manpower engineering are proud to be working in partnership with a prestigious global manufacturing company with a strong presence in Birstall, who are seeking an exceptional engineer to join their expanding team.

Shift pattern: Double days; week 1 - 6.00-14.00, week 2 - 13.45-21.45, Monday to Friday.

The Role: As a Mechatronic Engineer, you will play a key role in driving automation, improving production systems, and supporting the integration of mechanical, electrical, and software solutions. You’ll work alongside a highly skilled team to ensure optimal performance and reliability of new and existing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and optimise mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering improvements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Recognised electrical/mechanical apprenticeship.
  • Experience in both reactive and preventative maintenance.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • PLC knowledge would be advantageous.
