As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the performance of a fleet of heavy goods vehicles. Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Maintenance & Repairs : Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, ensuring all work is completed to high standards and within given timeframes Safety & Compliance : Ensure all vehicles meet safety and performance standards according to manufacturer guidelines Breakdowns & Reactive Work : Handle urgent breakdowns and repairs quickly and effectively Documentation & Reporting : Accurately document all repairs and diagnostics First-Time Fix Focus : Ensure quick, effective solutions to minimize downtime and improve vehicle availability What We’re Looking For:Experience : Previous experience in a fast-paced distribution or transport environment with strong HGV maintenance and repair skills Qualifications : NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent); CPC qualification (desirable but not essential) Skills : Strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a team What’s in it for you?
