Are you an experienced Aircraft Technician looking to develop your career supporting the Royal Navy? Do you have hands-on experience working on Merlin or other rotary-wing aircraft?
Our client is seeking skilled Aircraft Technicians to join their established aviation engineering team at Royal Navy Air Station Culdrose, one of the UK’s busiest and most operationally significant military airfields. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates transitioning from the Armed Forces or those bringing relevant civilian rotary-wing experience.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining Merlin helicopters, ensuring aircraft availability, safety, and operational readiness in a highly regulated environment.
The Role
- Carry out aircraft maintenance and off-aircraft support activities
- Work as an Aircraft Engineering Fitter across operational support contracts
- Ensure all tasks meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Identify and escalate risks, quality issues, and customer concerns
- Complete technical documentation and administrative duties accurately
- Attend training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an airworthiness environment
- Merlin helicopter experience or strong rotary-wing aircraft background
- Experience working with Merlin aircraft systems and support equipment
- Knowledge of Lean Operating Procedures, Naval Air Publications, and CIETP
- Familiarity with engineering and asset management systems
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, COSHH, and tool control procedures
