Shift Pattern: 3 on, 3 off - 6 PM to 6 AM
We’re looking for a people-focused Manufacturing Manager to take full ownership of one of our production shifts in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You’ll lead the shift from raw material intake through processing, packing and dispatch, driving safety, quality, performance and continuous improvement across multiple production areas. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll make a real impact — developing teams, improving performance, and embedding a strong safety and quality culture.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and engaging a large shift-based team
- Creating a Safety First culture and acting as senior safety lead on shift
- Delivering shift targets for output, OEE, waste, labour and cost
- Embedding lean manufacturing and CI tools on the shop floor
- Coaching, developing and managing performance within your team
- Ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene and quality standards
- Supporting audits, CI projects and NPD trials
What we’re looking for:
- Experience leading shifts in food manufacturing
- A proven ability to drive results through engaged teams
- Exposure to lean / continuous improvement
- Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills
Qualifications (desirable, not essential):
- IOSH
- Level 3 Food Safety / HACCP
- CI Yellow Belt
