About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Process Technologist to join our team in Carlisle. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with at least one year of experience in the food industry, ideally with a background in a food-related degree. You will play a key role in developing and launching new food products — from concept creation through to factory trials and product launch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about food, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end process of new product development, from concept to launch
- Assist with recipe formulation, sample preparation, and kitchen or factory trials
- Maintain and complete NPD documentation, including product specifications and submission forms
- Use Excel, PowerPoint, and internal systems for project tracking and reporting
- Upload and manage product information on retailer systems and portals
- Collaborate closely with NPD, Technical, and Commercial teams to ensure successful product launches
About You
Whether you’re already working as an NPD Technologist or with relevant experience working in food manufacturing, this role could be right for you.
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline
- Experience of working within a food manufacturing process environment
- Creative, enthusiastic, and passionate about food and innovation
- Confident with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and general administrative tasks
- Good understanding of current food trends, consumers, and competitors
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities
