About the role
We are looking for a Production Planner to join our poultry manufacturing site. This newly created, stand‑alone role acts as the link between Production, Transport, Cold Store, and suppliers. You will be responsible for production planning, scheduling, and stock control, ensuring smooth operations and accurate inventory management of chilled and frozen meat products.
Key Responsibilities
- Create daily and weekly production plans and schedules
- Align raw material and meat ordering with production requirements
- Balance capacity, labour, and materials
- Manage fresh and frozen stock control, despatch, and reconciliations
- Book transport and cold store space; raise POs
- Carry out stock counts, including monthly Saturday stock takes
- Maintain accurate production, despatch, and stock records
- Act as the central point of coordination across departments
About You
- Experience in production planning or stock control within FMCG, food manufacturing, or meat
- Comfortable in fast‑paced, perishable product environments
- Organised, resilient, and able to work under pressure
