Up to £70 per hour (Umbrella only)Inside IR35Role Summary/PurposeHaving experience working with complex electronics to component level, you will support post design activities on our displays and controls portfolio. You will resolve technical/engineering issues to ensure production output and product performance targets are achieved.Management of change is a key part of the role. You will be able to analyse problems to root cause, and drive corrective actions as required. You will manage obsolescence issues, including re-design, risk analysis, change impact analysis, cost, last-time-buy, documentation configuration and customer approval. Operating within the strict regulatory regimes of the aviation industry, you will ensure compliance with type certification and airworthiness and work with a product line that has significant revenue impact within the Cheltenham portfolio. You will maintain the aircraft system configuration by analysing and amending the directory of documents that go into the structure of our declarations of design and performance.Key Activities:Support the Configuration Management Plan for assigned program, responsible for execution of design data including changes to supporting technical documentation, drawings, bills of materials, specifications.Provide engineering analysis to purchasing queriesEstablish and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring customer requirements are understood and metDevelop solutions to technical problems, including component obsolescence and product improvements.Support the implementation of design changes resulting from FRACAS activities (Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System)Ensure compliance with mandatory regulations, standards and company processesQualifications / RequirementsQualification to degree level in an electronic discipline, or equivalent experienceExperience of working in a similar role and environment, not limited to aerospaceExperience of working in a design roleStrong design document & configuration knowledge.Product knowledge & Expertise.
