We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Sawmill Operatives to join our client in Grangemouth.
The working pattern will be – Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm and Friday 8am – 3.30pm
Duties and Responsibilities
- The safe operation and machine setting of woodworking machinery.
- Accurate cutting to specifications, instructions and drawings.
- Operation and safe use of power tools
- Ensuring quality standards are achieved and maintained.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
- Take direction from the lead machinist on all matters relating to machining activities and keep them informed of any matters that may impact operations.
- Contribute to a proactive culture of H&S, ensuring everyone in the team complies with the Company HSE policies and procedures.
Skills and Attributes
- Must have excellent coordination and mechanical skills.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
- Must have experience using power tools, such as compressed air guns and nail guns
- Must be PC literate.
- Must be self-motivated and capable to work effectively as a team.
- Have a suitable health and fitness level to conduct work appropriately.
- Experience within labouring / joinery or construction background (preferred)
