Production Worker - CNC Turner (Weekend Night Shift)
Location: Yeovil
Hours: 36 Hours per Week (3 x 12 hour shifts) - Fri, Sat & Sun, 19:00-07:00
Pay: Β£16.13-Β£24.20 per hour
Join a trusted aerospace manufacturing team in Yeovil, where precision, safety and quality truly matter. Our client is hiring a CNC Turner to produce aerospace components from start to finish-working to strict specifications, meeting delivery targets, and contributing in an empowered, lean environment.
What you'll be doing:
- CNC turning on 2-axis lathes, setting and running bespoke work from start to finish
- Interpreting engineering drawings and following manufacturing instructions, process layouts and documentation procedures
- Producing parts to aerospace specifications and customer/regulator requirements
- Operating OCQ (Operator Control of Quality) to confirm assemblies meet Honeywell and customer standards
- Working to complete work on time and to the required standard
- Sticking to lean working practices and working effectively in a continuous improvement culture
What you'll bring:
- Solid machining knowledge, including CNC turning (or strong manual turning / comparable machining experience)
- Experience or familiarity with hand measuring tools such as Vernier, micrometers, thread gauges and plug gauges
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety and following company processes at all times
- Teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to use initiative β especially in a safety-critical environment
- PC literacy
- Preference for Mazatrol/Mazak experience (but not essential)
- Awareness of the importance of safety-critical aerospace work
Additional information:
- Engineering apprenticeship background is desirable, but not essential
- This role is subject to meeting eligibility conditions of Export Control Licences and Technical Assistant Agreements
