Production Operative - Powder Coat in Nottingham

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Production Operative with experience in powder coating to join our manufacturing team. The role involves preparing, coating, and finishing products to a high standard while ensuring efficiency, quality control, and adherence to health and safety regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in powder coating or a manufacturing environment looking to develop their career in a dynamic and fast-paced workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and clean metal surfaces before powder coating (e.g., degreasing, masking, and blasting).

* Operate powder coating equipment to apply coatings evenly and to specified thickness.

* Ensure correct curing of coated items using industrial ovens.

* Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring they meet company and customer standards.

* Maintain and clean powder coating equipment, ensuring proper operation.

* Handle and mix powder coatings correctly, following safety and environmental guidelines.

* Work efficiently as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.

* Assist in general production duties as required, including assembly, packaging, and material handling.

* Adhere to health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and safe handling of chemicals.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in powder coating or a similar manufacturing/production role is preferred.

* Ability to operate spray guns, ovens, and other coating equipment.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.

* Good understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.

* Physically fit, as the role involves standing for long periods and handling heavy materials.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

This is a 3 rotating shift covering 0600-1400, 1400-2200 and 2200-0600 paying between £12.21 per hour to £12.70 including a shift allowance
