Salary: Β£35,000 to Β£37,000

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with occasional evenings and weekends for meetings, events and volunteer days
About the role
As a Parks Engagement Co-ordinator, you will have the opportunity to join our client's Parks Development Team in the London Borough of Bromley, where you will represent the Borough through the idverde contract, undertaking a variety of responsibilities to support and manage our volunteers and community groups to keep our local parks and green spaces thriving. The core mission of this unique role is to develop, strengthen, and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. The role also offers the exciting chance to really make an impact on the local environment - from being out in the field, working in nature with our community groups and volunteers, to creation of and contribution to fundraising and management plans in order to improve biodiversity and conservation efforts, alongside co-ordination with the local authorities and wider community. If you're passionate about horticulture and conservation, developing supportive relationships with community stakeholders, and involvement with local community projects, this might be the position for you!
Requirements
- Experience and knowledge in working with and co-ordination of community groups or volunteers in the horticulture/conservation industry.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Keen attention to detail and great organisational skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and graphic design tools (e.g. Canva).
- Full, clean UK driving license.
- Knowledge of Bromley parks and green spaces would be highly beneficial.
Desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health & safety
- Experience or certification in fundraising.
- Knowledge of Green Flag award standards or similar schemes.
