Manpower is recruiting a Medical Secretary on behalf of our public sector client. Are you an experienced medical secretary with strong audio typing skills and a background in healthcare administration? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected public sector organisation for a Band 4-level Medical Secretary to provide high-level secretarial support to clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to senior medical staff
- Accurately transcribe letters and correspondence using audio/digital dictation (BigHand)
- Maintain and update patient records and appointment schedules
- Handle telephone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Manage diaries, arrange meetings, and prepare relevant documentation
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a secretary, ideally within a public sector or healthcare setting
- Proficient in audio typing and digital dictation systems
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and maintain confidentiality
