Rework / Material Recycling Operative - Days

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 4.00pm
Contract: Temporary, approximately 3 months with a possible extension

FLT Licence Requirement: Applicants should hold a valid, in-date FLT licence. Candidates with an expired licence may be considered and given the opportunity to undertake refresher training.
Manpower is recruiting Rework / Material Recycling Operatives to join a busy manufacturing operation in Workington.
This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 3 months, with the possibility of being extended. You'll be supporting the site with rework and material recycling activities, working as part of the production team to ensure materials are processed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
What you'll be doing
- Carrying out rework activities on production materials
- Sorting, handling and preparing materials for recycling or reprocessing
- Supporting recycling and general production operations
- Moving and handling materials around the work area
- Packing, wrapping and palletising where required
- Checking materials meet the required quality standards
- Recording production information accurately
- Keeping your work area clean, tidy and safe
- Following all site health & safety procedures
- Supporting the wider production team as required
What we're looking for
Ideally, you'll have previous experience within a:
- Manufacturing environment
- Recycling or materials handling role
- Warehouse or process operation
You'll need to be:
- Reliable and able to commit to the duration of the assignment
- Safety conscious
- Comfortable working in a hands‑on environment
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Organised with good attention to detail
- Positive and willing to learn
Previous experience operating production or recycling equipment would be an advantage.
