Your purpose is to lead and inspire a team of fitters, driving excellence in craftsmanship, efficiency, and safety. By providing guidance, training, and support to your team, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. Responsibilities
  • Inspire and engage operatives, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the work requirements and providing guidance when needed, fostering a sense of shared purpose and commitment.
  • Lead by example in all aspects of the role, including actively getting involved in the maintenance and repair of cabins, demonstrating your hands-on expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Drive excellence in performance by monitoring operatives' speed and quality of work, delivering constructive feedback, and empowering them to reach their full potential.
  • Lead the charge in achieving operational efficiency targets, motivating and guiding staff to maximise productivity and optimise processes, making each project a resounding success.
  • Proactively communicate any issues related to staff performance or material shortages to the Production Manager, working collaboratively to overcome challenges and maintain seamless operations.
  • Collaborate closely with tradespeople, offering valuable support and assistance, leveraging your expertise in general maintenance skills and proficient use of power tools.
  • Uphold and exceed Algeco's stringent quality standards, continuously checking and working in alignment with customer expectations, creating a lasting impression of excellence in every project.
  • Foster a strong health and safety culture within the team, promoting awareness, compliance, and accountability for maintaining a safe working environment.
