Manpower are currently seeking an interim Consumer Test Coordinator, to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment. The position is based at our client's scientific Research & Development facility in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral, easily accessible by train and car. This is a part-time temporary role to run for 6 months, requiring an average of 15 hours per week over 2 days (normally a Tuesday and Thursday but it is subject to change). Flexible availability is required to adjust working days and cover holidays, etc. Training will last 1 month at 3 days per week before the next month's working pattern is agreed. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £16.15 per hour depending upon experience.
The Consumer Centre at Unilever R&D Port Sunlight facilitates consumer testing for a wide range of studies that support the business programme. The Centre provides test facilities, panellist recruitment, appointment booking, hosting, and manages panellist payments. The role combines data management via online systems with general administration. The ability to effectively handle and navigate digital systems to ensure accurate data management, facilitate communication, and oversee participant records is essential for this role. The job includes contributing to the effective and efficient running of the Consumer Centre by arranging appointments, maintaining databases, assisting consumers both in person and over the phone, and working with scientific staff to enable the efficient running of studies.
Key Accountabilities
- Identify, screen, and allocate panellists for testing using Compusense, a customisable panel management and sensory testing software tool that is menu driven.
- Digitally managing, updating and maintaining accurate records of Consumer Centre and panellist activity using Compusense, Excel and Teams.
- Work with scientists to set up studies that meet their brief and adhere to site policies and procedures.
- Digitally handling sensitive information such as medical histories, adverse reactions, and information/consent documentation.
- Work with the team to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
- Providing face to face support for panellists on site.
Key Requirements
- Ability to effectively handle and navigate digital systems to ensure accurate data management, facilitate communication, and oversee participant records.
- Experience in digitally managing appointments/records/information or similar via online systems.
- Competent user of IT systems with the ability to pick up new systems easily – you will have support and time to learn but need to be confident and independent in managing your learning and show rapid progress.
- Prior knowledge of Compusense is not essential, however, evidence of working with customisable software is required (such as MS Excel and Teams).
- Strong administration skills.
- Used to a fast-moving work environment with strong time management skills.
- Can show initiative and prioritise tasks.
- Professional telephone manner and communication skills.
