Manpower is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Drivers for a leading vehicle logistics company based in Killingholme. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking to develop a career in vehicle transportation. No previous transporter experience is required, as full training will be provided.
The Role
As a Car Transporter Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Operating 11-car transporters across the UK
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Completing vehicle deliveries and collections nationwide
- Carrying out vehicle inspections and reporting any damage
- Completing all relevant paperwork and compliance documentation
- Delivering excellent customer service at dealerships and collection points
Routes vary throughout the UK, covering locations from Cornwall to Scotland and across Wales, the Midlands, London and the South East.
- OTE of £60,000 per annum

Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday tramping
- Average working day of approximately 12 hours
- Start times vary depending on route and operational requirements
- Weekend work is very rare and generally offered on a voluntary basis
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Applications welcomed from both newly qualified and experienced Class 1 drivers
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Transporter experience beneficial but not essential
Licence endorsements and points will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Assessment Day
Successful applicants will be invited to attend an assessment day which includes:
- Company introduction
- Health & Safety briefing
- Hands-on vehicle loading assessment
- Question and answer session
- Refreshments provided throughout the day
